Here’s a large Hawk’s Nose Herkimer Diamond quartz crystal. It is named that because the two end terminations point in opposite directions. These crystals are extremely rare for the Herkimer Diamond District. As far as I know, they are only found at Paradise Falls and Turtle Clan Ridge herkimer diamond localities.

Digging Herkimer Diamond quartz crystals in Fonda, New York. Locality: Diamond Acres/Hastings Farm(Area 51 claim). Nice big Herkimers come from this mine, as well as clear gems and drusy quartz. The locality is public, but the claim is private. Claims at this mine are full, there is a waiting list for new ones.
Some rare Herkimer Diamonds with pyrite and marcasite inclusions. There were found collecting years ago at Hanson/Benchmark Quarry in St. Johnsville, New York. Some of the crystals have what looks like a coral reef of pyrite throughout them! Nothing has ever been found before or since that resemble these amazing specimens.
Doing some light digging for Herkimer Diamonds at Paradise Falls in Middleville, New York, U.S.A.. These are alluvial deposits and crystals are found on the surface, just below the surface, and in the rock ledge in pockets. Some footage of the waterfalls as well in this video.
